ENGLISH SERVICES (IN-PERSON)

Eligibility

1. Who can attend the services/classes?

Our in-person pilot services in April are only open to leaders, servers, care group and life group members and their family and friends who are fully vaccinated, have just recovered from Covid-19, or medically ineligible for vaccine in line with current Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations. We will be officially opening up the physical services to the general church congregation from May onwards.

2. Must I be vaccinated to attend the services?

Our in-person services are subject to the prevailing government regulations and we are required to implement Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS). Children aged 12 and below are not subject to the VDS measures.

Notwithstanding, if you or any of your friends/loved ones whom you are booking a seat for is unwell, kindly exercise social responsibility and refrain from attending our services/classes.

3. I have completed the Home Recovery Programme and exited from self-isolation but I am still experiencing mild symptoms. Can I attend the service?

If you are still experiencing symptoms, we seek your gracious understanding to rest at home and join us for our service online till you have fully recovered. We seek your understanding that for the safety and well-being of our congregation members, we will have to turn away people who display flu-like symptoms.

4. I/one of our family members has been issued a Health Risk Notice prior to service. Can I still attend service?

Should you receive a Health Risk Notice (HRN) from MOH, we encourage you to enjoy the service online from the comfort of your home, in line with the prevailing advisory from MOH to minimise unnecessary social interactions for the duration of your HRN. If your family member has been issued a Health Risk Warning (HRN), you may still join us for the service if you are well.

5. Do I need to perform an ART before attending the service?

An ART is not compulsory to attend our service. However, in line with the advisory from the authorities, you are encouraged to exercise social responsibility to perform a self-test before attending our service/church event.

6. Is there a queue for congregation members to walk in at our in-person English services?

Due to capacity constraints at our in-person services, congregation members must have a valid seat booking to join the service. Please refer to our website at www.newcreation.org.sg/services-english for more information and to book seats.

7. I did not manage to book a seat for myself and my child is going to the Rock Kidz class. Can I wait till service starts to see if there is any seat available?

You may enquire with our ushers at our service venues to see if there are any available seats. Do note that booking is still required and our ushers will provide assistance for this process.

8. Can I bring my children (under 12 years old) to the English services as they do not enjoy the Rock Kidz classes?

We encourage all children under 12 years old to attend our Rock Kidz children’s classes as the lessons there cater to their age groups. We seek your understanding that children under 12 years old will not be admitted into the English services to allow the congregation to focus on receiving the Word.

9. If I am not attending the service, can I just drop my tithes and offerings into the offering boxes at the venues?

Offering boxes are available at our service venues. If you need to drop your tithes and offerings at our venues, you may do so by informing our ushers on the ground.

10. Will the church be considering additional services (e.g. 3rd service) for those who are not familiar or aware of the booking system?

We do plan to gradually resume more in-person services and will inform the congregation when the time comes.

What To Expect

1. What will happen at the in-person services?

We are looking forward to gathering together, just like the early church, to fellowship, break bread, pray, and receive a fresh word from the Lord (Acts 2:42). The services will be conducted live at The Star Theatre (with simultaneous broadcast to Marina Bay Sands Ballrooms).

2. Will there be any collection of tithes and offerings during the service?

Yes, we will be taking time to worship the Lord with our giving during the service. However, we will not be passing around offering bags in line with the prevailing regulations. Those who wish to give their tithes/offerings can do so digitally via PayNow or Internet Bank Transfer. Alternatively, they can also drop off their tithes/offerings at our offering boxes.

3. Will there be any parents-with-kids room?

There will be a parents-with-kids room at Marina Bay Sands Ballrooms only. However, if you intend to bring your children aged 2 months to 12 years old to church, we strongly encourage you to book a space for them at our Rock Kidz children’s ministry so that they can enjoy the special programme catered just for them.

If your child is unwell, we seek your gracious understanding to attend the online service at home as we are unable to admit children with symptoms to our children’s classes.

4. Will there be someone who can pray for me before or after service ? Can I just come for prayer without attending the service?

Our in-person prayer and healing rooms are not currently available. Please join us at our Online Prayer Rooms after the 8.30am, 11.30am or 2.30pm online services (https://streaming.newcreation.org.sg/English) or write to us at https://www.newcreation.org.sg/get-help/#prayer.

‍‍5. What are the arrangements for members with wheelchair requirements?

For those with wheelchair requirements at The Star Performing Arts Centre, please email royal.service@newcreation.org.sg for assistance.

For those with wheelchair requirements at Marina Bay Sands Ballrooms, please approach the ushers there for assistance.

We are planning to resume our Hearing Hearts interpretation services where sign language is used at a later date and we will announce it when the time comes.

7. Can I help a friend who does not have an Internet connection? Can I book seats for him/her, print the QR code and leave it at any counter for him/her to collect and enter the auditorium?

We are expecting a large crowd at our venues and are unable to have a counter to assist with this. Please consider sending the QR Code by SMS to your friend, or personally pass them the QR code before the service day.

8. What are the safety precautions taken for each service?

In line with guidelines issued by MCCY:

  • Mandatory SafeEntry & Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures
  • Masks to be worn at all times during the service
