Physical Gatherings

  1. Now that up to 50 people can gather for religious activities, can we resume physical meetings for our servers/care group members?

    For the safety and best interest of our congregation members, and in light of the limited meeting rooms which currently being used for the production of digital content, all official ministry meetings should continue online.

  2. Can our servers/care group members gather physically in small groups to watch our online services together?

    Servers/care group members can choose to meet physically in small groups to watch our online services together subject to prevailing advisories by the authorities.

  3. Can our care group members gather physically in small groups to attend the online care groups?

    Care group members can choose to meet physically in small groups to attend online care groups together subject to prevailing advisories by the authorities.

  4. Are our servers/care group members allowed to have informal physical gatherings?

    Informal small group gatherings without worship can resume subject to prevailing advisories by the authorities.

  5. Can our servers/care group members gather informally for worship?

    As singing is currently considered by the authorities to be a high-risk activity for COVID-19 transmission, for the safety and best interest of our congregation members, we strongly discourage gatherings that involve singing in line with the prevailing advisories.

  6. Can we gather in small groups to conduct online ministry meetings?

    Yes, you may come together in small groups to conduct online ministry meetings, provided the necessary safety measures are in place, including the wearing of masks and social distancing, and subject to prevailing advisories by the authorities. However, staff present must not be from mixed teams.

  7. Can we gather our servers to record worship sessions for online services/ministry meetings?

    Ministries who wish to conduct the recording of worship sessions for their online services/ministry meetings should seek clearance with Deaconess Tammie (Creative Productions). All recordings should be done with safety measures in place, subject to prevailing advisories by the authorities. Staff present at the recordings must not be from mixed teams.

Pastoral Support

  1. Does the church still conduct weddings/funerals during this season?

    Yes, during this season, we continue to conduct weddings/funerals and provide pastoral support to our congregation members subject to prevailing advisories by the authorities.

  1. Someone in the ministry has just lost a loved one. Am I allowed to visit the wake?

    You may conduct wake visits at your own discretion within the prevailing government guidelines. However, staff present must not be from mixed teams.

  2. Does the church have face-to-face counselling sessions during this season?

    Counselling sessions remain online during this season. However, exceptions may be made for critical cases by appointment only. To make an appointment to meet with our counsellors, please call the pastoral helpline at 6338 4555 (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm).

  3. Someone in the ministry is in hospital. Am I allowed to conduct hospital visits?

    As hospital visits may be limited by restrictions imposed by the hospital, we encourage you to pray for the sick over the phone if possible. However, you may continue to conduct hospital visits at your own discretion and subject to the prevailing visiting guidelines of the hospitals.

  4. Someone in the ministry is unwell and resting at home. Am I allowed to conduct home visits?

    We encourage you to pray for the sick over the phone where possible in line with the advisories to minimise visitors in homes. However, you may continue to conduct home visits at your own discretion and subject to the prevailing advisories by the authorities.

  5. Does the church conduct hospital/home visits?

    During this season, our primary touchpoint is via our helplines. However, we do carry out hospital and home visits on a case-by-case basis.

  6. Now that up to 50 people can gather for religious activities, will we be resuming water baptism sessions, grace discovery classes or seminars?

    We look forward to resuming our water baptism sessions subject to the approval by the authorities of our proposed safe management plan. More information will be made available on our website once we are permitted to resume water baptism sessions. Our grace discovery classes and seminars will remain online at this time.
